Hello everybody,


I explain, i am selling a white lusitano mare, and he explains me that he has horses for movies.

I want to find a good home for my mare, as unfortunately i cannot keep her ....
And i am a bit worry about her future and want to find the right place.

I would like to know if someone know this man and his business ?
Do you have any experience / feedback from this person ?
For me it is strange as he didn't talk about meet/try the mare before.

I already put some adverts on Facebook, Freeads, Horsemart, and 2 or 3 other websites.
I had 2 visits, but it doesn't work, and people still keeping asking informations ....

But i just wanted to know about him, because it is not common to sell for horses movie suppliers, and to be confident ....
 
Cortez is another user on here. You can find them using the search function then send a private message via their profile.

Jirist, how have you communicated with this person so far? Have they responded online to an advert, e.g. by email, or have you actually spoken to them?
 
Maybe contact one of the more well known places that do movie stuff - google Blazing Saddles Stunt Team, for example. They may have heard of him if he's reputable and does what he says he does.

He tried to call me twice and left a message.
As i cannot answer during the day, we communicate by text after.
A friend of him, told him that i have a grey lusitano to sell.
So i sent him the advert to have a look.

We agreed on a price. I should deliver my mare 3hours drive from my place. But they even don't try her before buying!
But even though, i won't move my horse before having money if i decide to sell to him .....

Some people are still interested to try her for hacking, maybe it is a better solution.

I will try to send a message to Cortez then.
 
It's a scam. If you truly care what happens to your horse you never sell to someone without meeting them, seeing their set up where the horse will live . Who also genuinely buys a horse without trying or visiting it. No one I've ever met.

erm-I have got two that were unseen, I am quite genuine. Agree this does sound like a scam though.
 
I cancel it anyway!
I prefer to sell her to only one owner/rider for dressage or hacking for example, and for her to be fine and happy with other friends in a field.

Even if the man is good with horses, i don't want her to wait in a stable, time for the next movie coming, and she is not quite young now.
(And strange that he doesn't want to try her first, and want to film the movie with her for next week)

do not sell or buy with him. He's in huge debts, bad reputation and the livery yard he had had a bad rep due to his treatment of horses.
He does films but using other people's horses
