Hi!

I am looking for a well equipped livery yard near to Richmond and kingston and london/ putney- ideally close to them. I am looking for a yard with turnout and ideally floodlit arenas if possible. If anyone knows of any places that would do please don't hesitate to let me know. Because now I keep my horse at a place with a tiny paddock and an arena that is used up until 3:00 by a riding school and in winter when it's dark at 3, you can't use it because it is not floodlit. I think my horse would benefit from a field mate and more time to ride!

Please inform me of any places you know about! :D

How far are you willing to travel in either time or mileage? You'll find that quality of turnout improves the further away you get from London down the A3.

I am based in Putney and travel 35 mins to my yard (but am on part livery so do not need to make that trip twice a day, every day).

Manor Farm in Petersham has turnout and a school, newly opened, very swish by all accounts but price tag to match.
Holly Lodge in Richmond Park has summer turnout and a decent school, in the park for hacking.
Kingston Riding Centre (own the above two yards I think!) have two schools but no turnout and because its a riding school it can be hard to get any slots free.
Stag Lodge are apparently opening a brand new big livery yard on the A3 with schools and turnout, but still being built AFAIK.
Ham Polo and Minette Rice Edwards are the other ones that come to mind.

If you want somewhere cheaper then try Chessington, Claygate, Epsom and Cobham.

Apart from the yards that have already been mentioned, there is Wimbledon Village Stables, it is a lovely yard but unfortunately I think you can only have a horse there on working livery, otherwise it is very expensive indeed. No turnout on site but at another yard instead. PM me if you want more information.
