Just looking for a potential new instructor and have come up with three names...... R Marsden BHSII from Rastrick. R Cooper BHSI from Golcar and S Chadwick BHSI from Crosland moor. Any info would be great, I'm looking for flatwork/dressage help. Thankies in advance!!

I only know Sue Chadwick - she's an event rider and specialises in jumping/XC. SHe is very good so long as you don't mind the jumps going up quite big when you're not watching LOL. She does a lot of stuff with the pony club too. I haven't used her for flatwork, but as she competes at Advanced level herself, she must be able to do/teach flatwork. I do know that she will travel to come to you.

The other two names I haven't even heard of!

Heather Hopkinson from slaithwaite is very good, she has the mechanical horse at Tack and Turnout in Linthwaite, Sue Chadwick is more jumping oriented as far as I know. I can PM you the number for Heather, who teaches at peoples own yards as well as the mechanical horse!

I know them all. Sue events so like Ludi Doodi says she is fantastic for jumping. Becky Cooper is a show jumper, probably will teach flatwork but I personally wouldnt use her for that.
Becky Marsden not sure what she specialises in but know she does dressage so probably the best out of the 3.
There is a serious shortage of dressage instructors around here.
If you can get hold of his number Alistair Alderson would be one to try. He lives Northallerton way but last I heard he was riding a horse for someone in Bradford so often comes down here. If I think of anymore I will let you know but my mind has gone blank

Rochelle - where are you based? I use a very good dressage instructor, Janice Chadwick.
She is based in Howden though so might not be near enough? PM me if you'd like her number.

I have flatwork lessons with Sue Chadwick on my mare (or rather I did until she became unsound). Always enjoy my lessons. She teaches quite a few at our yard - me with my older mare for flatwork and now with my youngster who can barely canter a straight line, a girl who's getting back into riding after a break and her mum who is quite novice, and then YO's son who does Pony Club stuff.

Don't know about the others.

I used to work with Sue Chadwick at Queen Ethelburgas College, she was a great teacher, really knowledgable and gave you advice in a really straight forward manner, very true about height of jumps he he but I would always recommend her highly!!!!!

Becky Marsden's lovely - I know her well - She does a lot of teaching for Hudds College and does both flatwork and jumping although she does more flatwork - Sue Chadwick events but does have a good rep for teaching.
Forgot to add my friend Lynn trains with Darryl Thickett and has great success - She's going out at advanced medium
