does anyone know of this horse ?

any help please. pm me if prefer
thanks

Don't know the horse, but reading between the lines of the advert, he was bought as a beginners horse and isn't. The fact that they say he is too big is just rubbish - he would have been the same size when they bought him! I would guess he is too much for the person who bought him and they have now found something else and are desperate to sell. If you are interested you could well get a bargain by offering them a lot less than they are asking.

He looks lovely and a good price. Shame they have put a mobile number as I don't know whereabouts in Devon he is.

Hi

Have you phoned up about him? If you can give me any details about him? the area in Devon or area telephone code I can let you know if he is in my husband's area as he is a Vet and maybe a client!! long shot but worth a try. From the ad it does sound as though he is a bit too much for whom they purchased him for but only guessing, he may be genuine! we do have a couple of dealers whom I wouldn't recommend so if we can cancel them out he may be worth a look.

have a google of ALL the numbers, 3 horses for sale intotal, i do know of somebody this way that changes her name, your never not know her, drives a silver honda, has a partner called gavin, and is a coloured girl. BEWARE!

Surely this would be unethical, if the horse does belong to a client of your husband. Given that you can't get the vet records without the written authority of the previous owner, I would have thought your hustand would be putting himself in rather a precarious position.

I like greys, but I don't like the look of him much.

Who is 15.2 going to be too big for?? If they can't be bothered to take some better pics than that then they don't deserve to sell it!

actually a horses records belongs to the horse not the person, i discovered this when trying to find out about a horse that had navicular, i wanted the report and xrays. also my current horse suffers with copd, after an attack, we needed hes previous history, it took one call from me,. to get the old vet to send the report to my vet..

my vet has also told me vets are always exchanging history on horses.

Look on Adhorse this one is advertised on that site as well as 3 others

Owner: Leah Summers
Address: Torquay
Telephone: 01803313780
Mobile: 07852718267

YorksG: I was not going to divulge details of a client to a complete stranger we value our livelyhood far greater than that!! If the horse was owned by one of our clients that we socialise with then I could merely ask if they felt the horse was suited to a nervous, novice. This is not being unethical as the owner can refuse to answer my question which I would totally respect!

Jhoward:
This is correct, the information is on the horse which allows a Vet to pass on the history to another for the well being of the horse. In the same way that a Vet can treat or put to sleep a horse without permission of the owner 'on humane grounds'

thanks for info guys
with 3 others for sale think ill leave it.
its a long way 2 go for a mistake.
so if anyone knows of a 15hh ish schoolmaster please pm me essex/suffolk
thanks

If you are really interested in this horse then I wouldn't rule it out just because the seller is selling other horses - they are not necessarily the owner, they could be advertising on behalf of the owner. There's nothing wrong with this - I knew a YO who did this as she was good at selling horses and often got better results than the owners themselves.

There are different ways of 'reading between the lines'.

mmmmmmm too big ?
like you say youd know what size it was before you brought it !!
ill keep looking
i lovedthe look of the 14.3hh grey cob posted earlier,
but sadly hes out of my price range
