Does anyone know what a 11.5 hands Welsh section A would weigh? Need to compare weight to a full height standard Shetland. Would it be more or approx the same?
Sorry of course I meant 11.2 - late night last night!Probably around the same - although you need to check the size, as there's no such thing as 11.5hh
Thank you - very helpful. Our 11.2hh Dartmoor Hill pony, so basically a Heinz 57 is meant to be around 290.
That vet said this went she saw him recently.
ETA: I assume the poster meant 11.2hh? Curse of the metric generation!
Now because my tired mind was away with fairies thinking of 3.5 lorries I seem to have started the great debate on pony heights!!!11.5 does make perfect sense, after all. 11,5, however, would be bonkers![]()

Thank you very helpful. I appreciate it.My full height shetland weighed 278kgs at the vets, they were quite surprised as they'd only condition scored him as 3.5 so not excessive. He is a stallion though so has a big front
(don't search google images for a lorry chopped in half... That was a mistake...)
Umm, yes I agree, dont google it! (Here was I thinking what could be so bad about a lorry chopped in half - its not lorries in half youll see but what the lorry has chopped in half)
