I have looked at his BD record and it doesn't look like he has been competing for quite some time... does anyone know what he has been up to or whether he will back out competing?

Hmmm... any idea what rider?

Surely if he was up for sale he would not be advertised as extensively as he is with Meadow Stud??? His profile has been a little updated too recently.

Just thought it was strange that he has not been back out competing while out of the stud season...

can confirm that he is up for sale, i belive it was found hard to devise a schedule that suited both rider and his stud duties

Thanks TFS... I had heard a little whisper which is why I asked

So I can only presume that he will not be standing at Meadow for the 2008 season if sold before then. That is a shame, I was planning on using him again in the near future for the mare who had a foal by him 2007.

I think I should have first refusal... then I can have another foalie by him

Wonder if I sold my horsebox, all my horses and my husband (

) whether I could buy him and put him in my garden??? He is just my type of horse

hes been up for sale for a long time (since end of last summer i think??)

tbh i believe alot of people only used him because he was carls ride and alot of people who dont know alot about breeding or even dressage will think he must be good if carl rides him, but hey thats just my opinion

if he doesnt get sold soon im sure that he will continue standing with meadow

Thanks TFS... I didn't know he had been for sale for a while, I only heard the little whisper this past week and started looking into it

I did not use him because he was Carl's ride, I can promise you that, it would not bother me one jot who rode a stallion as long as I thought it would compliment the mare I had and would strengthen her weaknesses. The moment I saw him (OK, yes it was at YHL with Carl on board

) he was exactly what I had been looking for over several months and yard visits, as I really did want a British bred stallion.

But I do understand why some people used him... but to be quite honest, I think that happens with a lot of stallions, people go by their name rather than whether they will suit the mare in question!

OH no i was insinuating that, that why you choosed him, but at the number of mares he gets and knowing the crap he gets sent from some owners i think that having Carl ride him is prob the biggest advert that he could possibly get.

Plus with stallions its what the individual likes, christ if we all like the same stallions we would get bloody bored talking about breeding lol

Oh no... I wasn't saying that

In fact, I agreed with you TFS, I know of a few mares who were sent to him for the very reason you stated

Plus, if we all used the same stallion, then we should technically all have similar mares which we don't! Different stallions suit different mares, and vice versa

Maybe I should start an internet bidding auction for him???

Tempi's bet is in at £10... any further offers???

He is very well trained, will muck out (with some moaning), lead out and fill haynets. He is learning to cook (with some training could be excellent) and is a lovely person to be around.

The moustache is never there... think it must be the light. He struggles to grow any form of facial hair
grin.gif
... God he will kill me if he sees this!!!

£50 is the highest bid... and he comes with mucking out guranteed (but I cannot promise no moaning
