Could anyone who sent mares to him last year please get in contact I'm struggling to get a covering certificate and have heard so is everyone else! So how has anyone managed to reg the foals?
I believe he is ZfDp graded and so you could try contacting them. He was also bred at Gestut Falkenhorst and they still have semen I believe so they may be able to tell you.
These people did own him but it clearly says they've sold him BUT still maybe worth contacting them as they maybe able to put you in contact with the new owners.
Do you know which studbook covering certs were suppose to be issued from? If so, contact the studbook and see if DNA testing is possible and if they have new owner info
He was approved years ago by the DPZV - German Pinto Association, but they do not exist any longer since last year already. I have had a similar inquiry from a breeder but I cannot help as only if the fees are paid to the Association, a certificate can be established. That must be done by the owner of the stallion who then receives the certificates to complete for the breeders.
Their are 2 stallions called Multicolour - 1 and 2! The Multicolour who was at properhorses is now with David Stevens in Looe, his website is www.properhorsesandponies.com, whether he'll have covering certs is another issue!! Good Luck
Yes they are not giving anyone covering certificates by what I've heard. And being difficult to deal with. Would DNA be possible? Maybe sibling DNA? I feel cheated I was promised them and all fees were promptly paid
I'm not sure whether THIS Multicolour has DNA stored or which studbook issues his covering certs. The people who have him now, and his previous owner, are dealers. They run mares with him for a low stud fee, I'm not confident you will ever get a covering certificate. If you look at the animals for sale on their website I think you'll get an idea of the set up they run. I really don't know what to advise, do you complete a nomination form with the previous owner - your contract is with her not the current owner.
Apologies, after a bit more research Multicolour went from Liz Bradborn to a private owner. He used to be in Looe before he went with Liz to Exmoor which is where I made the mistake. If you did complete a nomination form you may have some recourse, perhaps through the small claims courts. Not sure what other advice to give.
