Does anyone know why melton mowbray horse sales been suspended??

As title says... can anyone enlighten me as to why the sales have been suspended? and does anyone know if and when they will run again?

they have decided not to do horse sales anymore not enough money in it, we all signed a petition to no avail

The last sale was Dec 2011.It closed because they weren't making any money from it and the horses coming through were poor quality.They have reserved the right to run them in future though and won't let anyone else take over horse sales there in the mean time.[I know because a friends partner wanted to and was refused].

There was a tack and general machinery sale last Saturday,but not many entries.Whether they'll continue with tack sales,I don't know.
