does anyone know any good sites to advertise a horse on as a companion? ive advertised on horsemart and the likes but no interest... at all... i dont know what else to do. ?

Best to stay local, those advertised as companions seem to find themselves swept off to places unknown and then sold on as riding horses and ponies.

Try to find someone fairly local so you can keep an eye on the horse and make regular checks, also so that you can get references from other locals. In my experience companion horses are quite hard to find these days, the lady who has my horse on loan has been trying to find a (pony) companion for him but there's not really anything around. So advertising locally rather than on Horsemart etc is probably a better idea. I put flyers up in tack and feed stores and an advert in the local papers, and had loads of replies. Make sure you state very clearly if the horse isn't suitable for riding, people don't always read the advert properly!
