well i'm not sure if i'm feeding her enough. she prob has 2-3 tubs of med size crickets a week and some apple in between. some folk i've talked to feed a tub of bugs a day plus fruit and veg. my dragon always eats everthing i give. shes about 2.5 years old and always looks for more, so worried she's not having enough?
I don't own any but have them at college and have just completed a nutrition assignment on them lol we feed them a big bowl of fruit and veg everyday and 5 crickets and 4 meal worms a day. They should get more fruit and veg because protein (from crickets etc) shouldn't be their main part of diet because she is fully grown. Ooh and they also get a wax worm once a week =] hope this helps
okay thats very helpful, looks like i need to decrease bugs and increase fruit and veg. also do you give them a water bowl? i do with mine but she never ever touches it. alot of folks have said they get there water from the friut and veg?
Yep they have a water bowl but we also spray all the glass in the tank as they don't really understand drinking from a bowl, would much rather sit in it.
I have one, she gets about 8 medium crickets a day along with some dandelion leaves and watercress. She finishes everything within a few hours but she is a good size and is growing (she's 1 1/2 years)
If you want to up the food then I'd do it with plants not live food
