Side Saddle?
I've been told I should ride my show hunter in ladies classes but never ridden Side Saddle before. How difficult is it to get the hang of? Are there specialist places to buy side saddles from? Other than the side saddle association is there anywhere else I could get more info?

Side Saddle Assoc is best bet. If you are going to buy saddle don't be tempted to buy a modern saddle. You can hire them from SSA members.

Also only do it on a horse that is 100% non rearer - I wanted to do SS but my boy will occasionally wave to the Queen a bit so decided against. With SS you can't decamp so easily, so it can be more risky if horse rears...
