I am thinking about changing my 7.5T lorry for a smaller one as 99 times out of a hundred I am only carrying one horse and increasingly its just me as a passenger. I have been doing some research online and there seem to be a few manufacturers around, and I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations or if anyone has a BOSS box as these are my current favourite! I know the payload arguments and would have it uprated to 3.9T for so I feel comfortable on the odd occasions I need it to carry two.

I took delivery of an XL model last week - lovely box. I only have the 3.5t as I only carry one horse. I have gone for the full length door between horse and living, which I think is essential, full lockers on a 60 plate. It is lovely to drive, my boy travels really well in it. I love the fact that it has no wood in the build so when he wees in it, which he does, I can hose it out no problem. We went to the factory to view the build and they were extremely helpful and friendly. Can't fault the service as delivered 2 wks early. Any other questions please feel free to message me.

Yes I got mine two yr ago. It's a 57 plate with Renault master chassis. Wouldn't be without it. Been all over country in it, even slept in it with blow up bed. Horse travell well backwards and paul and Clive the owners and emma the reception lady are super. Lucky for me I live 5 mile away from factory..
What I liked was the space and the 5 seats in cab.
It drives like a big car. You won't regret getting one.

Sounds good. Clive and family are competing near me this weekend and he has suggested I go and meet them to have a look at theirs. I was wondering about having the full bulkhead rather than groom's door, am interested you say its essential? I was just worried in case they went over the front partition?

Meant to ask, do you put blow up bed in the horse compartment? Might be able to convince other half more easily if we can use it for his hobby too (which involves occasional nights away!)

Because my boy is a good traveller I have no concerns about a continuous bulkhead, the rear arrangement is no different where the horses are tied up to our average lorry with lockers in the horse area. I wanted the full door as I like to have easy access to the horse area without having to put the ramp down.

You could fit a mattress over the Luton if you are not overly large. We have had our box slightly modified with lashing rings on the floor to accommodate my husbands motorbikes so a multi tasking box.

Thanks! My other half is 6'3 and so he may struggle so it could be a mattress in the horse compartment. Will see if I can meet Clive at the weekend and have a look.
Your comments are greatly appreciated!
