Does anybody own a holiday cottage?? and if so whereabouts in the country are you?? me and a woman on my yard are making a small buisness making websites for holiday home owners =] just wondering where to target our advertisement at.

We did run 6 cottages and used my son then aged 14 to do our website.
Since then we have been inundated with people offering to make websites, and down here (Devon) there are a lot of people doing it already.
They find customers by getting their email addresses from various places like the Tourist Board websites, The Lady, and Sunday newspaper ads.
Your problem is of course finding people without websites, so you need to look for ads with just phone numbers and email addresses, which there aren't many of..
I was part of a big organisation, a sort of co-operative and was offered all sorts of help from marketing advice to website building, if you go to anyone advertised on FarmstayUK I think you may find virtually all have their websites aready, we all realised it was essential nowadays.
Good luck with your business, sorry I can't offer more leads, what decided you to concentrate on holiday cottages, I would have thought most would already have a website?
 
My parents do- its Herfordshire/Welsh borders. They are with a company at the mo as only been open a year, but planning on going independant next year. They also advertise with the local tourist board.
