Our eventer was diagnosed with a very mild suspensory injury last week after being scanned. He is now on 3 months rest. Vet advised to still turnout as thankfully our field is grass covered with no mud. Obviously we are judging the weather ie, he doesn't go out if it is too hard or too wet etc etc....
We have just purchased an ARC equine system as it has been highly recommended but I was wondering if anyone recommends any supplements we can give him to help him along the way? We are prepared to try anything to get him right again. Thankfully it is only mild and has already stared to heal, the vet seems to think it is roughly 2 months old which would make sense as this is when he started to be reluctant to work.
Thanks in advance :)

I think, having looked recently, that there is some evidence for vitamin E in supporting ligament repair. Worth checking, maybe.

I used an ARC to repair a severe forelimb suspensory desmitis and fed Forageplus supplements for their high levels of copper and low iron. I also fed MSM and jiaogulan. It was a long road but she made a full recovery when the vets said she had only a 50:50 chance and they were impressed with the quality of the healing. I also took her barefoot during rehab which really helped her collapsed heels recover and will have helped with recovery of the ligament too by reducing the stress on it.

Thank you. We have purchased an ARC equine that we are going to start tonight on him. Our farrier did take his shoes off last week after discussions with our vet and it was agreed that it would do his feet the world of good as well as relaxing everything.

My vet prescribed me a supplement when mine did a suspensory. Sorry I can’t remember the name it was nearly 5 years ago but might be worth asking your vet.
