It was summer 06 when i posted about a problem we had with a foal who wouldn't stop scouring...it went on for two weeks straight, the vets told us to give up he was prob too internally damaged etc but we persevered and mid way through the second week H's Mum sent me Coligone which i firmly believe is what saved him! anywho for the next week he lived on a diet of milk which we milked from Mammy, coligone and natural yoghurt cause he developed a taste for it! He is now a boisterous 2 yr old that is a cracking model, healthy as anything and despite his slow start is the biggest and strongest of that years crop!
he's living with the youngsters a few hours away from our yard and willl be up at some stage during the summer to have a wee loose jump!
Only reason i brought it up again is his owner rang yest to say the mare foaled last week and is very put out at not having round the clock baby sitters this time lol Sam was her first fal and this wee filly is only her second...anywho very rambling post but just thought it might brighten up peoples day!!
