This fall I had posted about a horrible auction I attended with my aunt. I also posted about a foal and mare in awful conditions. My aunt was trying to save the foal but had to wait until she was able to be weaned to get her out of there. We checked on her often and watched her mother failing. It was quite sad. Well at Christmas my aunt brought her home. She is doing so well and I was able to go and visit her this weekend. I took some recent pics of how she is doing. The only major problems my aunt has had is a severe infestation of worms that she has been taking care of. She is just a doll and I truly hope she proves to be the horse I think she will be. Her name is Ebony
We are still checking on mom and hoping her condition improves. As I said before my aunt tried her hardest to obtain the mother as well but the stable owner refused. He said that she was worth too much in revenue for him because she was gentle. REST ASSURED HHO WE HAVE OUR EYES ON HIM!
ok....it seems my phone is giving me trouble atm sending the new pics to my online album. I will post the before and make a new post in a bit with the recent ones. thank you for looking. We casnnot save them all....but saving one is better than nothing.
Before when we first found Ebony
Here she is with mother....note how thin mom is. She became even more so. My aunt beagn to take special feeds there for her...all we could do is HOPE that the owner gave it to her.
