Does anyone remember this and could they tell me more?

Hi. I am hoping someone could help me. I have been unlucky enough to cross paths with a woman who was in the news a few years back for some pretty horrific neglect to animals.

I was wondering if anyone remembered the case? Does anyone remember what the outcome was of this. Was this a mistake by the Spanish authorities or did she really do this? I have been told mixed stories about what actually happen and would like to know the truth if anyone knows what that is.

I wondered what happened with the Spanish part to this story. Is the ban forever? or was it for 2 years? I couldn't work it out from reading the article. She has horses again now.

People like this get me so worked up for many reasons.

I'm not an expert on Spanish procedures but I was forced to watch a pony die from medical neglect in the Spanish livery yard I took my 3 horses to for 5 months some years ago now. The livery YO said the owner would not pay vet's fees and he was not prepared to do so either. Oh and by the way it was none of my business.

Obviously people can learn from their mistakes so I would suggest close monitoring of the current situation, if you can. Also check with one of the local small animal charities what the procedure is. Somebody there is bound to know. The Guardia civil may not be the best organisation to approach in the first instance.
