Does anyone think that these herbal Rig/Stallion Calmers work?

My Colt is really lively at the moment, even to the extent of getting very aggresive when playing with other geldings in the livery yard, so much so that i've had to put him in a seperate paddock and will be having him cut next week. i know it takes time for the castration to work and he doesn't like being on his own so was wondering if a herbal suppliment really is worth the £25.00 price tag. I've changed him from youngstock mix back to cool mix to see if that helps but would like to know other peoples feedback on these suppliments, and if the verdict is that they are really worth the money or not.

both mine and mums geldings were cut late...mums wasnt done till he was 4 rising 5 so he is very colty in spring/summer.

he is out with a mare and was seen to mount her several times, so we tried him on global herbs rig calm, which really did work-no more mounting!!!he doesnt need it in winter.

i havent tried it on my horse as he is only out with another gelding, but come spring proper, mums boy will be back on it straight away.

Personally no - not worth it. I guess everyone's experiences will be different.
I don't know your full situation - but have had good results with 'oxyshot' as works fairly quickly & takes the edge off. Is really just a short term fix though... travelling, clipping, competing etc. So may not suit for you?
The only advantage is that it works reasonably quickly. The problem with the ones you add to feed is that they can take several days (couple of weeks) to work.... surely this is too long for your needs?

horses for courses i guess....just seen the above post and personally have found oxyshot useless on two horses, no effect what so ever!

so its finding one that suits (as with all things horsey really).

Another vote for RigCalm, a friend was recommended it by a judge when showing his somewhat unruly yearling colt. Made a huge difference to him, fairly quickly.
