........ to pull a little trailer?

basically, Neddies are moving to a lovely new field in the woods (Yay, no mud!), but there is no water up there and it's quite a trek up a reasonably steep hill to go with hay, feeds etc, which I'm afraid might kill me. I definitely can't afford a decent quad at the moment, or most likely ever, but have seen an old ride on mower with no mower deck on for sale~ it's 12horse power.. ..... what do people think?! or are there any other suggestions? I have thought about a 4x4 but really want something small that can be parked in the little area behind the stables!

We tried pulling a small trailor behind our sit on mower when we first moved here but the motor was not really up to it.

Our solution was a 1950's vintage tractor, which OH loves to play with!! We also have a small diesel 4 x 4 which pulls trailor up and down our very steep drive and will pull topper/harrow if needed.

Our quite old ride on mower doubles as a field implement , you can get a tipping trailer, as long as you dont want to go anywhere in a hurry, its good!
Not sure what horsepower it has, but it beats pushing barrow fulls of leaves!

Yeah we do. I wouldn't like to rely on it in winter. It doesn't do mud, or slopes, or heavy loads. I'd get an old tractor or quad.
It will pull a trailer full of pooh until the ground gets wet and you can shift a few bales on fairly flat ground.
