I used it on my lot today, I was wondering how long the disgusting greasy looking area takes to disappear?

I'm hoping it will do the trick and clear up whatever is causing Amy's two bald spots which seem to have suddenly appeared :( My lot never ever have fleas, but I have just moved into a different rented house and there have been a cat and a couple of farm dogs in here before I moved in so I'm wondering if that is it. If the Advocate doesnt work I will be off to the vet for skin scrapings etc!

I use it on mine. Seems to do the trick. Frontline is as useless as a nun in a punch-up IME.

Blimey, you know the wrong nuns, mate! The lot I had at school could reduce a full grown man to tears!!

Any flea treatment is disgusting, that's why I've stuffed my lot with garlic and desperately sprayed the house instead :redface3:

Stronghold has a slightly better application than either Frontline or Advocate, it's alcohol based so evaporates quickly and it's a smaller volume to apply. Frontline is ***** and the pipettes are massive, it runs everywhere. :p

Where are her bald spots? Are they symmetrical?

Well after spending £35 on Advocate yesterday I wont be going back to buy Stronghold as well :D One spot on her back, the other slightly lower down on her hind leg near her hip bone - definitely not symmetrical

i use it - i always end up giving them a pat after i've put it on them and getting it all over my hand! it always seems like quite alot of liquid to go on one area and it stays greasy and wet for a good 36 hours!
how often do you all use it? i dont apply it every 4 weeks like i believe they recommend (combination of it being lots of chemicals and super expensive!) - more like once every couple of months! and then i make sure i worm them (drontal i think) every six months but making sure that its not a month that i've advocate'd them as they double up on quite a few wormy things they kill.
