Does anyone use bell boots to stop shoes being pulled off?

The Shire x walks quite close together, today he pulled his front right shoe off. Would bell boots stop this?

Any recommendations, especially for this build of horse xx

Extra large biggest-you-can-find rubber pull on boots should help. one of my mares lives in them at the moment, she's 16h but in XXL ones so they are very big and loose and sacrificial.
you could ask your farrier to do something clever with his shoeing... e.g. i know that if they move close behind you can ask the farrier to feather-edge the shoes, perhaps you can have the same thing done with the fronts.

Mister Jay used to live in his overreach boots (the velcro ones - possibly Shires), as he had natural balance style shoeing with the shoes set right back to support the heel. He would always pull his shoes - and half his foot - off. OR boots stopped that completely.

yup, mine lives in them. I alternate between neoprene and rubber to stop rubbing.

Took back shoes off for the mo to see how we get on, and it's the first time EVER my horse hasn;t pulled his fronts off.

My TB/ID mare has lived in them 24/7 for the last 5 years!! I would rather replace a OR boot at the fraction of the cost of the farrier being called out every time she pulls a shoe off!! I bought the xxl so that there was enough room for air to circulate and not cause sweaty heels and other problems caused by wearing them constantly.

Mine wears Quick Wrap Bell Boots (mostly used for polo). She hasn't pulled a shoe off when wearing them yet - the only time she does is when they're still wet from the day before so I've left them off! No rubs with them either.
