I have just bought a bag because I'd like my slightly skinny (for her breed) Highland to put on a bit more condition for the showring. I just wondered if anyone had any comments on it? Please PM if necess. Thank

Have done in the past for a skinny tb does the job but v expensive, doesn't seem to affect temperament and can be fed in relatively samll quantities but I found that the top spec flakes did the job as well and cost alot less. I think it depends whether you are feeding for stamina as well as a friend feeds equi jewel to her eventer who has a poor appetite as apparently it is ood for this as well. If just for condition I would go for the top spec

I use it for my hunter. He gets very excited and runs up quite light after hunting. I now use the Saracen Show Improver Pencils. These contain quite alot of equijewel and have done a fantastic job. I now just give him half a cup of equijewel when he's been hunting and the day after to pick him up a little bit. He looks fantastic this season.
Saracen also do a Show Improver Mix, which contains equijewel. Jasper did have this last season but was getting a bit porky on it this year so switched to the pencils.

I used it in September for my boy that lost a bit of weight as the summer came to an end - 1 sack did the trick, on 2 mugs a day. I would definately use it again, was really impressed and haven't needed to use any since.

Thanks all. I've only just started her on it so will see if there's an improvement condition wise and then maybe swap to Top Spec or one of the other Saracen mixes.

i used a bag of it last summer then swapped to bailey's outshine as it has an even higher DE and is based on the same principles - balanced high oil pellets.
