My sons physiotherapist has suggested a private clinic for some silicone orthotics, these would stabalise his foot and ankle, hopefully enabling him to push his heels down, rather than toes down and ankles out when he is riding, he needs the stability of the stirrups to balance himself and I am sure If we can find a solution to his feet the riding would come on leaps and bounds. We have tried without stirrups but it causes him to tense up and slip to the side.
Do any of you currently use orthotics when riding? what type do you use and how do you find they help?
she also told me you can buy stirrups that help with Dorsiflexion and she is searching out the website!
Many thanks
