Does anyones yard have a policy on leaving horses out alone?

Yes I realise that I am in a fortunate situation whereby I can make my own rules for my own horses

There is a sort of unwritten rule on our diy yard that no horse be left on its own unless owner says it can.I always err on side of caution if unsure and just take horse in,give it hay/water.
Someone once left my oldie in field by himself poor lad was dripping with sweat.Was not happy.
Can never understand people that just get their own horse and can actually leave one horse stressing cos on its own.And for someone just to stand and watch well!!(obviously if horse is known to be dangerous fair enough but would be discussing options with owner)
Yep its a pain having to go back for it BUT I wouldn't want it done to me so wouldn't do it to anyone else.
