I have already posted asking anyone if they had clipped recently, but has anyone else clipped late before now? and did it affect the summer coat?

I am planning to clip mine again this weekend. It depends on what type of clip you do as to whether it affects their summer coat. Full clips don't affect it at all, they sometimes make it look better. Blanket/ trace/hunter etc can somtimes leave a bit of a line/ difference in the quality of the coat at the beginning of the summer however it does all grow out. So it depends on how much riding/ competitng you are doing and whether you mind a slight difference in the coat.

Yup, and nope! The only thing it will effect is if you only do a blanket clip or a small clip, you still have clip lines until May/June!

Lovely piccy tho!
I am working her regularly and jumping her once a week, getting ready to start competing again in 2 weeks. I do a full clip with the legs left on and with a small oval bit for where the saddle goes.
I might do it tomorrow then as the snow will put the riding off.
She did sweat a little after her jump last Friday and was a little damp after her flatwork when it was warm a few days ago, so if I don`t clip her, she could lose a little weight through sweating. thanks all.
