does it bother you if other people tie up outside your stable and leave it in a total mess. Or am i just being petty?

Yes.................It would piss me right off and I would feel the need to return their [****] to them. Wouldn't mind then tying there if left as they found it and their horse didn't try to eat mine!!!

Yes! This is really bugging me at the moment. She does pretty often tidy up but I sometimes can't get my horse in the stable without making a fuss & then I feel like the bad person. Aaaahhh!

This also happens to me, and it really bothers me, problem is its a good friend of mine who does it!!! She feeds her horsey outside and ties a haynet up

When shes finished there is chaff spread all about

Never, ever cleans up after. My stables are right at the front as well on livery yard so people in general tend to think its ok to leave the mess there for me to clean up.

the thing is they are walking to the back on the barn to tie up outside my stable, why!! on sunday there must of been a wheel barrow load of cr@p outside my stable and they were nowhere to been seen. it not just that but my boy is a bit riggy and it's mare they are tying up, so he is totally trashing his stable.

Yes, it bothers me a bit, especially if I have swept up outside my stable and made a point of leaving it all in good order. Fortunately, the Moose was a bit of a horror when we first arived at the new yard so people know what she is like, and seem to avoid tying up outside her stable !

It bothers me greatly when people tie their horses up in front of my stables! Their horses trash and throw all my stuff around, my coats get pulled off hooks and ripped but when I mention it, no one admits that it was them!

If my mare is in she squeals and kicks her door if another horse is near her door, which is not funny, but others seem to think it is! Believe me its not when her knees swell from the impact!

Whether my horses are in or not I don't want people tying up in front of my stable. I wouldn't do it at theirs so why should they do it at mine!

Phew rant over needed to get that out of my system!!!

Or remove the bailing twine, I use mine as a loop that I can put up and take down as needed. If anyone puts twine on my tie up ring it gets cut down immediately!

You know what bothers me more, people using your stable because you have rubber matting down and they don't want to worry about THEIR horse slipping in THEIR stable! I had one girl admit her horse spend about 15 minutes pawing MY rubber matting while tied up in MY stable, she seemed to think it was funny!

Yes, it bothers me hugely. Also, our current yard is in the style of a barn with stables facing each other, with about 6 feet gap between them. If you tie up it is considered courtesy to move your horse in order to let others through, especially when tied up outside their stable! Last night I got to the yard and the 15 year old girl who is possibly the most precocious brat I've ever met, would not move her horse from next to my stable. I would have tied up somewhere else if she'd moved, but noooooooooo...

Grrr, don't get me started: I'll be here all day!

YES!!!!! and it really pisses me off that i am the only one whoever sweeps the yard, emptys the bins, digs the bloody muck heap, god i could go on and on,but i hate a untidy yard and mess they all think i have ocd i just tell them they are a load of lazy cows, lucky we all get on so well

it annoys me enormously, lady in next stable, not only ties up to my stable but allows her horse to eat away at my neds haynet (we have bars as its indoors). I am always cutting the string to stop her tying up but low and behold another one appears!

It does bother me when things are left out and about on our yard but generally, it's a fairly tidy place anyway (except for the dog poo which annoys me GREATLY!!!)! There also seems to be a hoof pick thief at our yard - all the picks have disappeared!! grr!

My stable is in the inside - nowhere to tie up apart from outside....there are a couple of 'spare' rings outside the entrance to my feedroom, where it is generally accepted that I tie my horses cos I have no-where else - (most other stables are on the outside) - what really p***** me off is when people use these rings to tie their horses up so they can chat whilst getting ready to hack out.

.....then I come along with 2 horses and no rings to tie them up...cue foot stamping, evil eye and muttering...then when theyve gone out this is followed by a session of booting tack boxes around yard and moving headcollars.

....yes, I have asked over and over again that they use the rings outside they're own stables ...this is met by blank looks.
I think I may have to actually lose my temper- the one time I lost it in 4 years involved the flinging of water buckets, and the upturning of wheelbarrows ....i was fed up of having to negotiate my horses thru obstacle courses, strangely enough that never happens now
