I realise it's a preservative mostly anyway so wondered if it did? I have just used some on my horse which I got about 3 years ago and used at the time but has not been openended for welll over 2 years?
the chemicals in it will react with substances in the air once opened and are also sensitive to degradation by UV light and extremes of heat. so depends how you have stored it. Does it still smell like you expect. If too much of the relevant chemicals have degraded them it will smell different to how it normally does.
Thanks, it's been well sealed and kept in the bottom of my tack box, so reasonably protected. It does still smell quite strong so probably some use. I may just get a new one anyway if I need to use it often (horse is going sheoless!)
Horrid stuff! Wouldn't touch it myself. If you get the diet, exercise and environment right then your horse can be happily shoeless, no Keratex required
