Does my Horse have thrush?

Over the last week, when picking Rubys hooves. I have noticed a smell. Started off not too bad but then 2 days later the smell made me heave!

I've no experience with thrush, so I asked another livery to have a look. She has given me some Kevin Bacon hoof solution to use (which also stinks) and I have been applying this daily. The smell is much better now. But I can still smell it.

Does this sound like thrush?

Is it white / black flaky and general looks like it's rotting in the crevices when you pick them out? Thrush is usually accompanied by a white chalky power that scrapes off.

Im another vote for red horse products. I use the sole cleanse that's really good for thrush.

Like the idea of the paste as she is living out at the moment. Also a lot cheaper then the Kevin Bacon!

use iodine, brush onto the frog for 1 week and you should see a big difference!!! dont get it on your skin because it will not come off lol so wear gloves xx
