Personally, I would put a horse straight onto pergolide if it had Cushings but Vitex (Agnus Castus) can be useful in the early stages. It made huge differences within a couple of weeks with my mare.

You need to give it for at least a month, and preferably 2 before you decide that it hasn't made a difference.

Alot of people use chastetree berry, but there is very little evidence (scientifically) to prove it works. However I know some people swear by it! Other options, if pergolide doesnt work, are Cyproheptadine and trilostane.
