My 15.3 TB x shire mare is currently on a starvation paddock to try & lose some of the weight she's put on. She's a good doer but what I'm worried about is are horses like humans in the fact that if they don't get enough food they go into a "starvation" mode & actually store everything they eat as fat so actually get fatter??
Exercise is being upped as I have now come home from uni so she should start getting fitter / slimmer hopefully!
