Does size really matter!!!

Hi Guys,
I hope this doesnt sound to jumbled ! However i will try and make it as simple as i can !!.
I have a 15.2/3 Irish Tb Gelding. 7 yrs. ex hurdler, a good athletic body and very talented jump! However he is what i call my dinky horse he is very delicate looking. He is talented and i would like him to go on and compete. He is a very quick learner and very genuine but in the wrong hands could probably be easily ruined so i feel a competition home is required. He only raced two weeks ago.
Im wondering what the best avenue will be for him in the near future.
He is a great chap and in my opinion would make a lovely eventer.

The question really is What im wondering is there a market for a horse like this in the eventing world ? Does size really matter?
Am i going to limit myself pushing him into this field with him needing a small jockey?(im about 5'6 and 8 1/2 Stone and just about right) He is gutsy so he is by no means a small ride but he is a delicate looking boy, He infact looks like a doll!
Would i be better working with him in a diff area??

There is a a market for "small" eventers ie 15.2 for juniors or smaller jockeys.

Ideally I wanted a 15.3, I've got a 5yo 16.2/3 and will be riding a 15.1 6yo ex racer!
So basically, yes, he should sell quite easily, he sounds very nice!
 
Don't see why not, not everyone is tall! We had an 18 year old ride daughter's pony at the weekend - when she got on she had to shorten the stirrups! Daughter is 10 and already 5ft2 and a slim 7 stone, and was taller than the 18 yr old.
 
I'm tall (5'9") and ride a 15.3 TB who has a good jump (LOL, unfortunately, with my bad hip, it limits what I can do!). I have no interest in riding tall horses anymore so if I ever get another horse, I'll be looking for something in the 15.2- 15.3 range again.
 
ok thanks guys, afterall some of these young event riders are probably more able to ride than i am so thats that sorted. Many thanks a little eventer he wil be :)
 
He would absolutely suit as an Event horse if that's what he goes on to like doing. I like small horses/big ponies even though I'm relatively tall. And anyway, if you produce him to Event, in theory, he could go on and do any of the disciplines.
