The coat change depends on coat type. I find it’s more common in spaniels.

Yep or Setters/longhaired Dachs. I've known a GSD female's coat go very weird (grey not blondie) but her owners weren't massive fans of brushing anyway.

I knew a Westie who lost huge patches of her coat, she spent the rest of her life taking hormone tablets.

I wouldn't expect spaying a bitch to help with anxious behaviour. Has something happened to make your bitch anxious (I saw something about an aggressive GSD but not the full story), or has she been like this since maturity? It could be genetic and then training her to cope will help, but it may just be something you have to manage rather than look for a cure.

I eventually spay my bitches. The only change I've noticed is that they don't come into season and I don't have to worry about pyo. Training is the key to building confidence.
