As title really. I have tried googling the British Bavarian Warmblood Association but the link to their site is for a completely different thing

Does it no longer exist? Who do breeders register their foals with if breeding from Bavarian Warmblood mares?

This is on behalf of a friend who is thinking of using a KWPN approved stallion on her Bavarian Warmblood mare but would rather not register foal with KWPN for reasons unknown to me??

The BBWA was disbanded several years ago now. I was on the Board of Directors before it shut up shop. This was due to the lack of members and also the fact that the founders were looking to retire. As it was also funded via the Landsverband in Germany it was also decided via them to cease the existence of the UK Branch. It was a shame as it was the only daughter branch of a German Studbook that allowed 100-day stallion performance testing in the UK.

No point in contacting Christa as she is retired and all the contact details Amelia gave you are no longer in use.

Most people who have Bavarian mares just grade with another society. If in Scotland this tends to be the SSH.

think you'll find the passports are still valid as they are part of a recognised stud book so you dont have to change.
You could get your papers overstamped if you wanted , say for breeding purposes and the off springs papers but that would be the only reason.
