Does anyone know if this bit exists? A loose ring straight bar snaffle (metal mouthpiece)? After much trial and error it is clear that George prefers a metal straight or mullen mouthpiece and at the moment I do dressage in a eggbutt mullen mouth. But he is definately more responsive in a loose ring, hack and jump in a mullen mouth gag, and when I had a little try with both the reins and cheekpieces on the large snaffle ring (I know it's not designed to be used like this) he was very responsive so would be ideal for dressage.

Can I find one anywhere :( help, chocolate and wine if someone can find one!

You'll need to find someone that stocks Abbey bits, Jodie does at the Horse Bit Bank, so she maybe able to order you one if she doesn't stock that bit.

A sweet sparkling white wine please and dairy free (yuck) chocolate, thanks.

Thanks all for looking for me :)

Unfortunately George doesn't take kindly to happy mouth bits, and the magic mouth one aren't dressage legal because of the port :(

So Ashgrove you win the wine and chocs! I have found somewhere that stocks the abbey one, so thanks again.

:)
