One day when i ride my lot, i feel like i am riding in the corret way. (eg, position, rhythm, contact, see a great stride ect..) Depends what i am doing, but i feel good about how i am riding. (not meaning to be big headed!)
The next day i get on, walk round and i instantly know i cannot ride. I feel i am all over the place ect! I tent to not do anything complemated, more fun exercises ect, and get off fairly quickly. I guess this is before i get fustrated with myself!

Or am i alone on this one?!

Definitely not on your own!!get days when I feel so comfy and secure in saddle that could do anything.Next time it goes to pot and feels can't do anything right.Yep I cut those sessions short too!!!

My off days tends to be if I'm stressed, tired or what not. I usually do a quick 10 min school then go for a hack instead.

I know how you feel, so you are not alone.

I can also see perfect strides when watching show jumping on TV and sometimes I think the striding is all wrong AND I'm not even riding ! Maybe that is just me though.

I no exactly how you feel! Only yesterday I decided I couldnt ride anymore, I was rubbish and wanted to give up and sell my horse!!! (I no, I sound like a spoilt brat!)
I couldnt even get my horse over a tiny sodding cross pole from trot!!! I just sat there to the fence and did nothing!!!
Where as the other week, we were flying round a decent size course doing really well.

Ok, so on average how many times a week does the skill of riding your horse escape you??

I think my skill has around 2/3 days off a week!

I don't get that too much, but I DO suffer from brave/wimpish days! You know the ones, when you yank your leathers up 6 holes and go for mad gallops through the woods... and the others, when you prefer the dressage seat in walk, thank you!!!

I feel like that sometimes, I try to book a lesson soon afterwards so i can sort out whatever the problem was. But sometimes I am just too tired to school properly so I go for a hack or jump instead.
