Thanks Beth - that looks very interesting. Not sure my feed merchant stocks it but I am sure he can get it. I'll look into it. Have toyed with the idea of adding linseed for condition too.
Tierra - sorry. No idea. Have always guessed at IB x TB but no real idea. Previous owners didn't seem to know. He came from Ireland originally and was hunted as a whip's horse. He's a good sort though - very easy to do, rarely any problems. Likes his hunting and jumping! Not so keen on stressage - we share that trait!!
He's very very similar looking to my horse in his head... even his stripe on his face is the same... Quite similar conformation also although yours looks like he may have a bit more bone.
You make a good point there. When I turned up to hitch a lift to the meet today my coach said how fit my horse looked, but he is never going to carry a huge amount of flesh he's just not that type! Like people some can eat an eat and not put on an ounce! Damn Them!
