hi cutting a long story short iv'e got a pony for sale that i put on horsemart last night and got this email today and thought it sounded a little strange...
'hello..
This is just to let you to know that i came across your advert on the website and I'm very interested in buying it from you. I'll like you to kindly write back if you still have it for sale and what is your final price? Also I'll really appreciate it if you can send me some recent pictures. Meanwhile i live in England , but I will like you to know that I will personally take care of the shipping of the down to my location.

bit worried they kept calling him 'it' and that they would arrange 'shipping' down? well i live in east sussex so u dont get much further down from here! but.... this was a project pony and although im fond of him he's never been for keeps and i do need a quick sale i would never send him anywhere without knowing what his purpose would be or without actually meeting this person, could it be some sort of scam? or maybe a dad byeing a pony for his daughter? please help!!!
 
Yeah it is a scam email i had 2 of them when i put my horse on horsemart get rid and google the telephone number when i did i got loads of scary stories about the person
 
thanks for that thought it sounded a bit wierd! email came up as a jeff nicholas or nicoles? cant remember! hope no one else gets dragged in by these people!!

I got that when i put a pony up on horse mart.. i called him a lot of abusive words and got this in reply....

"Hello,
Thank you for your urgent response I am very happy to read your email
that I know
you very good person.And don't worry about the shipping cost. My
Accountant is also pleased with you.. So please if you could sell me the
thing that i want
should please give me the full information for the following items

YOUR COUNTRY ............

PHONE ...................
I would be very happy if you will be honest with me
this operation and also its urgent response is highly appreciated.
And
I also want you to know that you should not be framed on the
navigation that the shipping cost will be included to your actual sales price
cause i have a client who will take care of shipping so if you
co-operate with him he is ready to give it another 100 for its sale
price so i would also like to tell you that Your urgent response will be highly appreciated
NOTE:It will be very good for you to know that i will be using him for my carcus business so please i am very busy now,that i why i can call you.So please provide me this information so that my accountant will call call you an inform you of of the arrangements.Please i will be expecting your mail."

YES very dodgy! i have readabout these scams recently. Always insit on speaking to the person, They will give excuses as to why they can't speak to you. Most don't speak english or know you will suss them out. I would check out any potential homes also. best of luck.

omg using in his carcus buissness? does that mean what i think it does??? do these sort of people honestly get people selling to them????
 
i have to say it made my day... i wish all time wasters would be that straight forward it would make it alot easier to work out whos serious and whos not...its so bad that people do fall for this tho...
 
I had very similiar ones when we first advertised our holiday home in spain.They asked for our bank details to make transfer lol

Yea a scam, I have just about that exact email!!
Best one so far was when I first put nezza on, I had an email offering 13.500 less than I wanted for him - I email back saying I could not except that offer - so they emailed me again with another 500 on top, but wanted all his tack included in the price!! left me giggling for some time!!
