Does this sound like a bruised sole?

Ok, I posted a couple of threads a couple of weeks ago regarding a 'moved' shoe which was then pressing on her sole and as a result when the shoe was removed and a new set put on she was foot sore. Farrier told me to put purple spray on daily which i have been doing twice a day.

She became sound again last week so on Wed I started riding her again (didnt ride on Thurs) then on Friday i noticed she was lame again.

I am obviously not riding her now - she is sound to trot up and on the lunge. It is only when i turn her in tight circles around me that she sometimes 'flinches' when putting weight on that particular foot.

Is it likely to just be bruised? I have pressed all over her sole and she doesn't flinch at all

- she is happy for me to pick her feet out, wash and put spray on it.

You may have to call your farrier out again because if it is an abcess brewing he will need to release it and you will have to poltice the foot again.

Sounds more like a bruised sole though and this can take a few weeks to heal. arnica is great for bruising.

Lanky is a bit like this at the moment - he spent 36 hours without a shoe last week as the shoe twisted and came loose. My husband removed it that day but farrier couldn't come until Thursday. He is definitely sore on that foot when he turns tightly, and I have put it down to a brusied sole.

mine is EXACTLY like that at the moment - His feet are dreadful atm. Having to have him shod every 5 weeks now! he is fine on the hard trotted up but flinches when in a tight turn and sort of 'hops'. Hoping its nothing serious (although is very similar to my last pony who was diognosed with arthritus in coffin joint) so its now the 'worry worry worry' stage with me!
