My horse has had lameness on and off for a couple of months now on his front leg and it's always when on stoney ground. He's also got a swelling on his rear pastern and little lumps that have come up around the top of his coronet area on each foot. They've been coming up for the past few months now.
He's going for X-rays next week but I'm desperate to know what's going on with him. Looking at the lumps and the fact he's lame on stoney ground I was thinking he may have ringbone? He's a 10yr old appaloosa x Anglo Arab who's never been worked hard. What do you think?

Hello,

Sounds a lot like my horse who has bilateral high articular ringbone (jargon for you!)
He wasn't in lots of work but had quite a shallow pastern angle which was the crux for him.

If you need an advice etc then feel free to PM me!
