I am not advertising on here, just want some advice on my advert. Not ready to sell just yet anyway as she is not 100% sound yet. Just thinking about my adverty though. Have written this so far...

16.2hh Belgian WB xTB. 9 yr old bay mare. Has 3 nice paces and starting to wrok nicely on the flat. Has the potential to go far in dressage with the right rider. Hacks out alone and in company. Good to load, catch and shoe. Snaffle mouth at all times. Vaccinations and worming up to date. Passported. Would suit confident teenager/young adult.
I haven't put on the advert that is spooky out hacking, and the tieing up issues (see post further down) - should I put these on the advert or tell people when they phone? I am considering putting her on project horses as she needs a lot of schooling to get her going nicely enough to do well competing in dressage. Also due to her injury she may not be able to jump very much again.

Reading your ad she sounds perfect, though at 9 I would expect more from her flatwork, but in reality what you say is very different to the ad!! You say she hacks out alone and in company but they go on to say she is spooky, needs lots of schooling, currently lame and won't tie up. Sorry but your ad bears no relation to what you actually have for sale sorry..
 
Can agree with what you are saying. Although she is spooky she does hack out alone and in company quite happily. I won't sell her till she is sound although i will tell ptoential buyers that she has had an injury. She was quite happy to be tied up at her old yard... Should I say all this in the ad? I will if I put her on project horses which is where I think I will advertise her as she does have a lot of problems...
 
Is the horse lame at the moment??
what injury does she have??

I would be careful and poss advertise her as broodmare more than ridden x
 
If you are putting her on project horses then I would explain all in your ad.

The ad you have there will only waste yours and others time- much better to have a few calls from people genuinely interested despite her issues rather than 100 calls in which you are going to have to explain that she is not what she appears from the ad.

But shes 9 and pretty much unschooled - i dont think you can write that tbh..........and also currently lame........
 
She was going nicely before her injury, so it's not that she's unschooled - she needs bringing back into work. She has competed in dressage before and has done well.

Thanks, have just been reading some adverts on project horses, I will definately put all her issues on the advert on there as i want her to go to the right home

She has damaged her coffin joint and is lame on circle on hard ground but 100& sound in straight line and in arena
 
sorry, but she's beginning to work nicely? Is she not off work at the moment? You have to sell what you have, not what she was when you bought her.
And then you say she needs loads of schooling.
Sorry, I would sell her when/if sound as needing bringing back into work.
 
you also said in your other posts - that they mare box walks and is tempermental and you dont bring her in without your gelding as she plays up ??

I would class box walking as a vice ??

If i bought your horse and went on the above advert - i wouldnt be happy to say the least
 
Nomini is there any chance that her previous owners would buy her back? If they had her from a foal, they must be quite attached, and she sounds like she would be happier in that yard.
 
I'm sorry but I really dont think she's very saleable unless you sell her very cheap and then you risk her falling into the wrong hands.
A project horse is fine but a project horse with lameness issues etc is just not worth the risk for most people.
