is time always the best healer with most injuries? do you think its over/under prescribed? have you turned away a horse with an injury that became sound?

i believe that time - given what injury is - is a great healer. The body is great to work on injuries. But all injuries are different. But ummmmmmm i firm believer in good old salt water anf fresh air on wounds - keep them clean and open as much as poss - given the particular situation - but hey im a lover of many old remedies :)

i believe that the body is a self healing entity, but that critical situations such as injuries and colic need intervention, i"ve had many an ailment with animals and myself that have recovered with time and rest, rest is the best medicene, but we have antibiotics and lots of other modern aids to cover the critical stages of illness, also i am, certain that good nutrition plays a great part in healing and prevention of illness, and in the case of horses good management plays a vital role in avoiding health problems,
wholefoods free from the some 5000 additives used in food today will benefit anyones health ,next time you visit the supermarket take a minute to look at the ingredients and additives and see what you are really buying and eating.

not necessarily, even soft tissue ones. anyone else had a shoulder injury? left mine for a couple of months thinking time would heal it :( got worse and worse! took 3 months more physio to sort it out.
