Basically as it is in the title, in your opinion does your horse enjoy their training?

Thankyou.

ETA, If your horse doesn't, Would/do you continue with his training? Possibly in the hope that they will learn to enjoy it in the long term.

mine give lots of indications that they enjoy the attention and doing something...

there's never any 'faces' when the tack comes out - they both practically put their own bridles on
they are much more friendly and less teasy around the stableyard when they are worked really regularly
they are always keen to go out under saddle

only thing I can't do is work them together, such as ride-and-lead, that gets very competitive and naughty!!

My pony does enjoy his work however I make every effort to vary his work as much as possible to keep it exciting for him. He will have a day off every week where he will either be free schooled or popped in the field. The other days I will spend a few of days schooling and a couple jumping and weather dependent, hack as well :)

I think that horses that do not appear to enjoy their work simply need to be shown that it can be fun if that makes sense?

Mine appears to be grumpier on the ground when not ridden (ie, 16 days off recently due to the snow/ice). I can't say he enjoys the flatwork lessons we have and if I was putting words in his mouth he would say he doesn't see the point of it (:D) but he usually is good and biddable and seems to have a good brain that can work out what's being asked of him (native wile!). Hacking, likes to get out but can be lazy and needs a mixed variety of rides to keep him a bit more alert. Jumping - loves it - the one and only thing he makes a good effort for.

Yes, I would say Lacey enjoys her work. Some bits more than others ie hacking and jumping over flatwork but she still likes it all.

If she didn't like it she's the type of horse who would certainly let you know!

However having said that when she saw her tack on the stable door for the first time after her "holiday" she did try and "hide" but facing the back of her stable! Once tacked up she loved her hack.

Yeah I think he enjoys it, he's also very trainable and just very willing to learn, he has a lovely personality :)

Sometimes he gets a bit confused as to what I am asking him, he won't throw a tantrum he'll just come back to walk as if he's trying to figure out what is being asked, bless him.

it depends on what it is :p
flat work not so much but it depends on his mood
hacking round the fields he loves
hacking on the roads he is a bit of a wimp so not as much but he is beter in company
jumping again depends on his mood and what we are jumping  fillers he is scared of but will try if taken slowly but he loves grids :D
he is very cleaver but dosent always like being pushed

Yes! He loves going out, but always spooks coming down the garden, even though he's lived here since July! 1st ten mins or so he is a bit fresh but usually settles and loves doing lateral work and collected cantering in circles, golly he is a dream! Apart from when we meet lorries, but that's another story!

Yep Mr Speeders loved getting out :D When he was on box rest he looke depressed and was very quite and basically not his cheeky self. But then when he got tacked up he was very perky and after a couple of days of riding was back to his cheerful self :D Although he was a stubborn bugger to hack alone and hated xc!!
