Does your horse get a christmas stocking?

With christmas on its way im already planning what to get my horse , sad as it may be all of mine have had a stocking hung on their doors full of tasty goodies ,bit of tinsel etc to make the place look festive,am i the only mad person to do this?

not at all, my last yard had massive sacks outside their doors, tinsel etc-some were a bit ottt though :S

mine gets everything - my birthday in a couple of weeks and nearly everything is for him but yes i am sure (if i can find anything else to buy him) he will get a stocking and advent calendar!

mine loves it use it the summer to get his coat looking good.i think il save all the booze for me though, some things were not meant to be shared!!!!!!

what a classic! made me chuckle the stupid thing is i creep down the yard and hang it on his door christmas eve . I think its because i dont have kids and he is some sought of substitute !!!!

No stocking but he will get a tasty treat of either hot cross buns (his favourite) if I can get them or a lickit. My cats will get some tuna.

Yup, he has lots of prezzies and an advent calender on his door (only the yard cats attacked it last year and ripped it open!!) our cat also has an advent calender and a stocking with treats in

No way - 4 horses means it'd cost too much, Im always broke as it is! And definately no tinsel because I can guarantee no matter where it was hung out of reach, my Welsh D would get hold of it and rip it to shreds.

They do usually get some Guiness and loads of apples & carrots in their supper though which they love

I am not talking from a monetary point of view, just would not do it. My horses would not even know its a different day of the week...as long as they get the same routine and get their feed as usual..

Of course it doesnt matter if you dont - they wont know any different - but I like to spoil my horse when I can (which hasnt been often enough in the past year!)

Mine has an advent calendar and stocking. She also buys presents for us. Dont know where she gets her money from though as I dont think she has a job

Not a stocking, but he gets some Guiness in his feed and a Sweede in his stable.
I tend use it as an excuse to buy something for him that I really want
