Diamond was named after Sade,s song Smooth Operator the breeders loved this song and she sings Diamond Light in it.

The Butter Biscuit ( Biscuit No1 ) had two ToTo,s Africa when she got sold then returned to the stables and I bought her and vowed as the chorus goes
It's gonna take a lot to drag me away from you
There's nothing that a hundred men or more could ever do

and also Tina Turner Simply The Best cos she was
as my pony Bonnie was so share that one

My Donkey Melody has Unchained Melody.
I need to find one for Moss - Bicky- and Biscuit(No2)

not wildly imaginative - but the big mare has The Killers - Ruby - its how i call her in the field "Ruby, Ruby, Ruby na na na na na na ":D

WELL as Holly is named after 'Holly' in PS I Love You it used to always be The Pogues - Love you till the end! But now I have owned her just over 2yrs Crazier by Taylor Swift is more suited to her LOL

My boy Freckle Pop!! - Millie Smalls My boy lollipop!

You make my heart go giddy up!!
I love you, i love you, i love you so.
but i dont want you to know
i need you, i need you, i need you so
i'll never let you go

My little girls dartmoor hill pony song is the goo goo dolls iris, it is just him. I made a video for her and put it too. She just cried so much. She is only 6 though.

"my way" by Frank Sinatra probably describes my mare best.....:p in lyrics anyway!

Music wise it would probably be something like "so what" by P!nk or something similarly rousing and shouty :)

My beuatiful TB had " You are my sunshine" but sadly they took my sunshine away 8 years ago :( Still miss him like crazy. Haven't got one for any of mine now! But I do have a lookalike - Alex the lion from Madagascar is the spitting image of my little Dartie!!!!! :D

I love this thread!

Prof's been gone 3 years this September but Arctic Monkeys 'Mardybum' was our song, makes me happy and sad all at once when i hear it now :-)

Mines the same! Everyone on the yard sings it to her. Can't say thats how I call her in the field though :p will give it a go hehe

Lol easy for Kane..

'What's that coming over the hill
Is it a monster? Is it a monster?'

Ditto for my horse... then he uses artistic licence to alter the lyrics to... let's not wait to find out, let's spin and run in case it's a monster, in case it's a monster... :)

My old little black pony had simply the best  ah i still can't listen to it without blubing :( Miss her so much :(

I haven't found any for my new ones, though my mum always takes the mick about my 2 year old Puzzle (he has a few concentration problems that can suddenly lead to outbursts of energy when on a leadrope...but it's being sorted) and she changes the word 'monster' to Puzzle in What's that coming over the hill, is it a monster...etc etc...poor boy :p

xx

All of mine do :o Apart from Charlie, strangely enough, will have to work on that... Theo's is Monster (as in, 'what's that coming over the hill') because he is one :D And Gray's is I Know You from Sleeping Beauty (I think!!) because we imagine that if he had a voice, it would sound like the bloke who sings that... Hilarious :D

It has to be Bing Crosby singing

..............We're busy doing nothing, working the whole day through,
Trying to find lots of things not to do.
We're busy going nowhere, isn't it such a crime?
We'd like to be unhappy but we never do have the time...........

Mine used to be the song that the Donkey in Shrek used.... N.E.R.D she wants to move.... only as when the donkey used to say/....'she's sexy' and my Merls used to be like Donkey..

It still makes me smile whenever I hear it and think of Donkey in Shrek.. lol

I now have:
Faith Hill's There you'll be and Josh Grobner's 'To where you are' as sung by Jai McDowell on BGT last week..... made me ball my eyes's out.

loving this thread :D

My horse is called Mr Ed because he bops his lips together when waiting for his grub. Maybe more after the TV show than the theme tune - "A Horse is a horse of course of course and no-one can talk to a horse of course unless of course that horse of course is the famous Mr Ed."

my mares is the beach boys- god only knows. i think the first verse sums us up completely 'i may not always love you, but long as there are stars above you, you never need to doubt it, il make you so sure about it, god only knows what i'd be without you'. as i dont always love her sometimes i hate her but i would never let her go shes taken me from a petrified novice to someone whos now prepared to sit all her crap and wait for the bits that make it all worth while :D
