Does your horse have a theme song?

When I wored at my old livery yard I had a warmblood called Bruno and his song was 'wind beneath my wings' cause I always used to say he was my hero.... on the day he was PTS this was the first song that played on the yard radio when I got back to the stables. I sat in the corner crying like a baby.
I still get a tear when the song come on.....

I used to loan a race horse through the winter called The Lampton Worm.aka Worm, then a pal of mine found me the Northumbrian song about the lampton Worm.......and it suited him so well. I cry when I recall the tune now.

Being a musician and rider means I cannot help but sing various stuff when riding. Our 1st freestyle is nearly decided,but now I have read this post I am going to have to find theme songs for both neds.......a ginger KWPN and a LOUD leopard spot............suggestions welcome!
 
At the moment it would have to be the theme tune to Steptoe and Son, but I have been known to sing Chim chimeney to her if I see something see might not like!

More often, it's the song from this :D (WARNING, it will get stuck in your head!) I change the lyrics to "riding backwards on my Jasper" :D

Bob the "nota" cob,s theme song is also "whats that coming over the hill "Lancelot,s was the lesser known version of Boney M,s hit .Brown horse in the truck(la la la la la)
 
Blues is now 'Moves like Jagger' by Maroon 5, as he he has the wierdest movement ever and defo has the swagger down. lol

Herc's is defo 'Long live' by Taylor Swift....I usually end up singing it alot when out hacking.
 
Mine has two main tunes when he is being good - You are my sunshine my Solly Sunshine and My boy Solly Pops. :)

When he is being a spooky idiot about the log piles in the woods I sing (badly) the Something for the weekend song by Divine Comedy first verse goes somthing like

I might be showing my age here, but my share horse (pale flea bitten grey Arab/Welsh cross)'s song is the White Horses theme song from the TV show in the 60s...

Every time I am cantering on him I sing 'On white horses, snowy white horses, let me ride away...'
 
I dont really have a song for my cobby but I do play Ramstein and Enigma and other tunes on my mobile to him and I love to see his reactions with the ears.Looks at me stupidly at times lol
Madam (section A) she doesnt like any music lol
 
One particularly "expressive" horse used to have "He's the Greatest Dancer" (always wanted to use the "So you think you're too cool to boogie" intro for a kur) but has recently been switched to "Born This Way". We had an Arab with "Walk Like an Egyptian" - that made us laugh every time.

The Dog Who Loves Himself has traditionally had "High Steppa" but we've recently added "Moves Like Jagger" because he is SO Adam Levine. :) The other dog is "I Can Feel It All Over" but this week it's been "Psycho Killer" by the Talking Heads.

My old event horse was "Sharp Dressed Man" or "This Charming Man", although the latter isn't really a compliment.

All my animals have theme tunes. It's one of my unexpected moments of whimsy. :)
 
My horse used to nod if the song "babycakes" came on the radio, found it so funny I end up singing it to him and at one point when my phone rang it would belt out 'babycakes you just don't know know' ... Ruined my music credibility for life!
 
The day I decided I had to part with my last horse, I got in the car all teary and Adele was singing Someone like you in the live lounge on radio one....it was when she first released it and I'd never heard it, but I cried soooo much! Whenever I hear it now I think of her!
My new one doesn't have a song yet...having read this thread I will have to give her one now!
Our little pony is sooooo moves like jagger! He's got the strut happening!!
 
with stunning originality :rolleyes:Rubys' song is "Ruby, Ruby Ruby" by the killers - its how i call her in at night - other people on my yard hum the darth vader theme when she is fly rugged & masked up:)
 
According to my sister's 16hh+ bay boys, the theme song for my 14.3 grumpy black section D is

My song for my horse of a lifetime (I was 14 at the time) was Hymn by Ultravox. Fabulous pony; 14.1 chestnut Arab that would jump 5' with me. Loved him bestest. RIP Kehshspian.

It annoys him but I think it might be my singing voice coz the cat always comes out of hiding in the house, sprints up and bites me when I start singing.

OH's lovely gentle mare is "My cherie amour" :)

Young chestnut mare is "fierce girl", she's not a sensitive flower, attacks anything put in front of her and wallops any horses who look at her funny :o She's fab though!

Daisy is Stay by Hurts and Twiggy's was Alien by The Cary Brothers. Both fairly depressing but both sum up how their talents have been put to waste through injury, especially Twigs'; I remember vividly listening to it as we drove away from her new home with the empty trailer rattling behind, trying not to cry :(
