Charlie has a very unique white lines across his forehead, it appeared about a year ago, I had been on holiday for a week and when I returned they had appeared

There's even a gap where his forelock was!

Probably not very clear in the picture but he has a patch of hair that is a lot lighter then the rest.


So what marks do your beasties have that make them stand apart from the rest?
 
Was someone rding him for you when you were away? Looks like he could have got his head caught in wire or something or a browband on too tight?
 
Cappy is chestnut with sabino markings but he does have a perfect circle of black on his hock and one on his rump just below his brand, again a perfect circle. Both the size of a 2p piece.
 
Genie has a white line down her left cheek that only shows when she's clipped. Also has just a tiny bit of white on one foot, and half of her bottom lip is pink but the other half not.
 
Archie has the shape of a rocker on his near side flank. You can see the quiff, the stand up collar and the face even has a goaty beard (ok so thats not very rockerish). Wish I knew how to upload a photo. I always think of Elvis when I see it and wonder if its a sign ... you know, like Jesus appearing on a piece of toast.

I think my pony has 2 birth marks - one on his belly, and one on his hind leg inside his hock - they're both very dark spots (well not spots but marks - like smudges really!)

he also has a white upper lip on the left hand side of his lip

He also has 3 prophet thumb mark - 2 on his neck which you can see, and one on his chest

Ped has random markings which change every year... this year he's just grown a white spot over his n/s nostril, couple of years ago he had a white zigzag similar to harry potter scar n the other side... last winter he grew white dapples on his shoulders - 3 each side. very odd!!!
 
did he have a fly mask on while you away????
was it taken off???

when i went away last summer my horses wasnt taken off for a few days i came back and within a week she had a white mark behind one ear where the ear of the mask had rubbed.

its gone this winter though?
 
Yep, he's skewbald, and has a patch that looks exactly like India on his shoulder. Also, on his head between his eyes, he has an indent. Everyone says it looks like a bullet-hole :O
 
Scooby is basically one big distinctive marking...!

Someone on here pointed out that the splodge on his offside flank looks like a baboon, which it really does once someone points it out!

Not acquired marks (unless you count the rather nice scar on her inner thigh) but Robin would be distinguishable anywhere - except perhaps at a Paint horse show where sorrel overos (even with 2 blue eyes) are as common as flies on a muck heap!

Cheeky looks like he's been punched really hard in the middle of his head as he's got a dent on one side. Knowing him, he probably has, tbh!

Reggie has 2 whorls under his forelock side by side, and a big hole halfway down his neck where an injection went wrong and he ended up with aome major problems! Other than that, he's your typical bay 16.3 TB with absolutely no markings.
