A rare one of Dolly laying down. None of her in the stable, and not likely to get any.

One of mine is nuts about lying down, he loves big deep beds and rolling. One time he stopped and i couldn't figure out why. turned out he had physical issues with his back and also arthritis in his hocks, and mustn't have been comfortable or confident he could get back up. That was the first thing I noticed that was off with him.

Mac is very arthritic now, but still loves his lie downs. It is something I keep a close eye on, because when the day comes that he stops lying down, or struggles to get back up, I will think about his future.

Never seen any sign of mine lying down in her box - and she poos everywhere, so I'm pretty sure I would have! She does lie down in her field, though. In her box, she just turns her bum to the door, rests her head on the rug rack, and snoozes like that.

Yes but not every night... maybe 3 or times a week. He doesn't tend to lay on his bed anyway, he lays on the rubber matting at the front of his stable :o
