Haha, just wondering is it just me, or does your horse poo more than others?

My 14.1hh connie seems to poo alot more than her stable friends who are all 16+17hh warmbloods. Seems a bit odd?

Sounds fair to me for some reason my little TB (16hh) seems to poo 2 to everyone that my 17hh warmblood boy does, having said that her poo's are half the size so the mucking outs about the same!

Yes!

13.2hh Exmoor poos on average 6 - 8 large deposits per night  (for comparison : 15.2 MW TBX is about 3 and 11.2 Welsh A is about 3 - 4 per night)

Out hacking, on say a 2 hour ride, he will stop for a poo at least 3 times and leave a substantial deposit each time (rather than just a few plops).

I have never known such a little pony to poo so flaming much. Same goes for weeing. Wees for England *shakes head*

Doesn't really poo a lot.....but wees for Wales! Why he can't do it outside I don't know. I've only ever known him have a proper wee in the field when he is out 24/7. At the moment he crosses his legs till he comes in then goes for it! Use 5 large bales of shavings in two weeks.

No, quite the opposite in fact. Between 5pm-ish and 8am I'm lucky to find 2 poos in her stable. Quite often its only 1. But she doesn't eat much I suppose so what goes in comes out (spends most of her time dozing rather than burning calories).

I have a 15.2 TB who eats and drinks as much as, and produces enough waste for, two elephants...:o His stable is disgusting...

My daughter's loan pony (18yr old mare) produces a couple of neat piles of poo and pees so little in her stable she requires one back of wood pellets a fortnight... She hurtles out the gate in the morning and uses the muck heap like a litter tray...:D

So unfair...

I find the amount mine poke is directly related To the amount he eats' now if it's frequency, no not really.

I can beat every one for the most poos, my horse does at least 15 on a 2 hourly ride he will deposit about 4 nuggets each time he goes {he is a little and often horse} i took him out in the trailer on his own the other day for a hack, and because i didnt have any one to talk to i decided to count his poos { yes i know} 34 poos in 2 hours  BEAT THAT.

One of the horses I used to care for when I was a stable hand was a Clydesdale cross, and there would be so much manure each morning in his private paddock, you could have convinced me that he was secretly having an elephant friend over at night for visits.
