Just passing through...
As in when there's flooding?
Nattering it over with a friend, as to what YO do/don't charge for.

I wouldn't mind paying for my horse to be rescued from a flood or a fire ...
I think I'm a rubbish YO because I clearly don't charge for nearly enough things![]()
I'm a yard owner and we always bring in if there's an emergency, or for other reasons depending on circumstance! Yesterday I brought in 2 horses that had been left 24/7 out by the owner in thin rugs in cold rain and who'd overslept and couldn't get up to feed them! I also fed them on my own hay, changed their rugs and won't charge for that, and I got no thanx for it either!! I must be stupid!!![]()
Arh now you see - that is exactly when you should charge - for bring in, rug change and feeding - and i would charge her at least £5 quid a horse !
Yup, for sure charge!
Yes, I was told yesterday that I should charge! I don't mind doing stuff if it's needed and going to be acknowledged! But even I thought they were taking the mick!
I used to be on a yard that charged double the usual bring in / turn out fee for late requests from the disorganised - a sort of numpty tax if you like![]()
