I have been training dogs and competing in agility to quite a high level (have qualified for crufts) for the past 4 years and am in the process of setting up dog agility training classes in the Coventry area. Dog agility is the fastest growing canine discaplin and is a great fun way of meeting people and keeping you and your four legged friend fit and who knows one day you could be competing at crufts. Classes will be held on weekends throughout the winter and week day evenings throughout the Summer if I have enough interest. Is there anyone out there who would be interested? please phone Laura Drysdale on 07906587349 or email laura_horse69@hotmail.com for more info. Cheers!! http://mysite.wanadoo-members.co.uk/muddypaws

I have a friend who was very serious agility with Rugby Training club and I know they often went to Crufts with their borders. As Coventry isnt that far away from you I wondered if you knew her/ PM me if you think you might know anyone from he that school.

Good Luck setting up by the way.

Perhaps you could give me some pointers on how to start basic training my dog?

Tell you a bit about her.... she is nearly 2yrs old, GSDx, have done obdience training with her for a year, and recently passed her Good Dog/owner Bronze award. She will at the stables, jump practically anything and now all i have to do is get her attention, point to what i want her to jump and say "over" and off she goes!!!

She's had a couple of tries at small dog shows in an agility course, and despite never seen the weaving poles, ramp or the tunnel, bravely attempted them with no probs...

what do you reckon?
